About Bislig

The City of Bislig lies along the southeastern coast of Mindanao Island directly facing the Pacific Ocean. At present, the City serves a big market for agricultural products servicing even the provinces of Compostela Valley, Davao Oriental and Agusan del Sur. Its present role to its immediate and remote environs is as the center of commerce and trade, health, and education services. The City's topography is characterized by extensive forested mountain ranges. About forty-two percent of the City's land area consists of highlands. Accessible through land transport, the City is 158 kilometers south of Butuan City Airport and 205 kilometers northeast of Davao City Airport. The two airports are serviced by major local airlines.
